What a fun weekend! Lizzie just woke from a nap, so no time to write - I will let the pics tell the story instead!

Hair post

It seems like we haven't taken many pictures of Lizzie this week (though tons of the garden - you can see those on Ryan's blog in the links on the right). The only pics of Lizzie on the camera are of the new hair style that we have been using lately (she is fast asleep in the car, which seems to make getting these pictures easier!).

It seems to be a very do-able style for us - we are always trying new "hair-dos" and Lizzie is very patient with us - we are slowly working our way towards braiding, I think.

I had a few more fun pics that wouldn't fit in my last post. I call this one "Lizzie - cover your ears so daddy can get the dogs to stop biting each other"
This was taken the same day that Griffy was on the couch - he really must think he is people.

Lizzie is getting really good at getting around on the playground equipment, but I can't help myself from spotting her - I am pretty sure if she saw me doing this, she would bat my hands away in disgust. I can't help it - I am going to just have to be subtle about it.

Memorial weekend

We have been having a great stretch of weather here. I have been able to take a few days off from work here and there and really enjoying it! This past weekend, the three of us went to a playground - Lizzie has been waiting very patiently to use the very tall slides until she has both parents with her (one for the top of the slide and one to catch her at the bottom). She is getting very confident in climbing up, on and over the equipment. Here she is getting a big push on the swing (an "under dog") from Ryan.
Lizzie and I put Griff in the entry way to go visit Ryan in the garden. When we got back, he had made his way into the house and onto the couch. Ryan was able to grab the camera and take a picture before putting him outside again (how did he know to put his head on the pillows??). It was nice of him to keep his feet off the cushions.

Yesterday, Lizzie and I went on a quick trip south to visit with Mimi and Timber and have a tea party with Ally, Cadence and their mom Shannon. We had a great visit. Here is Mimi showing Lizzie some baby geese on our walk.

It was a perfect time for a swim after the tea party!

When we got home, Lizzie joined Ryan in the hammock. We had a long day - Ryan was up to start working around 4:30 and Lizzie and I were up at 5:30 - (she slept all the way to and from Litchfield) - we were ready for a swing in the hammock.

Late May

The pigs have arrived! Here is Lizzie with Grampy watching the pigs (nice tractor placement in the background). She could spend hours watching them, I think.
Griffin loves to watch them too. These are the smallest pigs that we have had so far (meet Wiggly and Squiggly).

This picture is from a few days ago - from the outfit, you might think it was a cold and rainy day, however, I believe it was blue sky and 70 degrees (she chose the boots over sandals for a trip outside this afternoon - I expect this is the first of many fashion decisions on her part).

Mid May

Lizzie has really been enjoying playgrounds these days. On Tuesday, we met with Emily and Jonas in Unity to try out the Unity Field of Dreams playground - we had a lot of fun! It was a Lizzie chilly, but neither 2 year old seemed to notice.
After much trying, we were finally able to get both Jonas and Lizzie to look at the camera at the same time (and Emily too!).

I don't seem to get many serious pictures of Lizzie - here she is (see the gift she helped decorate?) - right after this picture, she burst into her big green. I love this headband that she is wearing - she doesn't seem to notice that she is wearing it (unlike some of her other headbands) so we have been able to keep it on her head for hours at a time.

For Mother's day this year, Ryan let me sleep in and then he and Lizzie brought me breakfast in bed - what a perfect morning!

It is hard to believe that may has arrived! We have been having wonderful weather and getting all the sun we missed through the winter. Here is Lizzie in the hat we bought for her last year - still fits!
Lizzie and I visited Ryan at his booth at the Hope Festival - Lizzie promptly made herself very useful in rearranging the beans.

This is our Lizzie today - she is wearing a new outfit that she got for her birthday and looking so grown up!

We had Lizzie's birthday party with family over the weekend - unfortunately, our camera was out of battery - instead, we will have to hope that others will share their pictures with us!
