 The kids and I "helped" Kate with her window boxes.  They are pretty as always.  Kate always has a good eye for these things!

Family canoe

Ryan and Lizzie often go out in the canoe together in the evening when the lake is calm.  Martin and I have traditionally stayed home as he was a little small for the life jacket.  But, a few weeks ago I found a jacket that was just his size.  Here we are on our first family trip!  I took a kayak and Ryan took the kids in the canoe.  Martin wasn't sure what to think, but all in all, we had a great time.  The first of many!

Memorial day parade

I am a few weeks behind by the time I get my pictures uploaded and hop onto the blog, but here are a few pictures of the memorial day parade.  We had a great time and had the good luck to have the baseball and softball team float stopped in front of us for a few minutes - they kept throwing candy and Lizzie made out very well! 

 I think Martin is just trying to figure out what is going on - horses in the street? a band??  cub scouts???  You can imagine the confusion.

Lizzie

Here are a few shots of Lizzie from a few weeks ago - she had her braids out that morning, which always gives a fun "free hair" style for awhile.

 She loves riding her new bike!

 As well as pushing her cousin in her stroller - she has only just started doing this.  Now she drives her dolls up and down our driveway in a child's grocery cart, taking walks like we do with Kate and Maeve.

Recital!

Lizzie had her first dance recital this year!  She had a great time and we were fantastically proud of her.  What a great job she did!  Her class was for Pre-K and K aged children - she was the youngest by at least a year, but did so well!  It is really fun for me to pass this along to her - I have many great memories of dance class (and recital) with Miss Jane!
