Smile series

Lizzie was a little fussy this morning, but after being walked around some, fed some and changed, Ryan and I were finally able to get her usual happy smiles to come out:

Here is Lizzie in a cute hat knit by Aunt Kate. Lizzie had her two month checkup last week and we learned that she is 10 pounds 14 ounces and 23 inches long. She is growing so fast! She is really enjoying her swing these days and is starting to follow a more consistent napping schedule during the day. We just got our cloth diaper sample pack in the mail and hope to test them this week. If we don't like this brand, we will sample a few other brands (keep your fingers crossed for us!). Ryan and I are really having fun being parents!

Big Weekend

This was a very big weekend for us - we had a lobster feed on Friday night to celebrate my dad's birthday (Lizzie has slept through 2 of 2 lobster feeds so far).
On Saturday, Ryan and I went to a wedding of an old college friend of mine - we had a great time! It was great to see EJ again and to catch up with my old college roomate Meagan.

On Sunday, Lizzie turned two months old - she is smiling so much these days!
Sunday was also the "meet the baby" shower for Lizzie - thanks so much to our family and friends for your generosity! I didn't get any pictures during the actual shower, but I took this picture this afternoon of many of the clothes that we received. She is going to be one well dressed little girl!

Lizzie's outfit today is extra cute (thanks to Maddie and family for sharing these things with us!).
I think these socks really seem to finish the outfit nicely. I hope they make these in my size too!

Father's Day

For father's day, we went to a nice BBQ at Ryan's parents house. Lizzie got to meet Nana and Grammy Phyllis (see below in that order):

Saturday

Ryan and I took a trip to Belfast on Saturday. We shopped at Reny's, the co-op, walked by the water and had a great lunch at Chase's. The weather was perfect and we had a great time! I think it will be awhile before we see that much sunshine again!

long time no blog!

Long time no blog! It has taken me awhile to actually upload new pictures onto my computer. Lizzie is now seven weeks old! She is growing so fast. Here is Lizzie last week sporting the LSU outfit we bought for her on the day we brought her home from the hospital. We have been trying to catch her pretty smile on camera (this is an attempt), but I always just miss it. She has a beautiful toothless grin!
This is Lizzie on the hammock for the first time. She and I spent some quality time in the hammock on Sunday - trying to stay cool! She really seems to like the swinging motion (as do I). The dogs kept us company as we watched the windmill turn.
Here is the happy family - this is the other place we go to beat the heat. You can't beat a dip in the lake on a 90 degree day! Lizzie only dipped her toes in - she decided she likes the shade better. I am sure she will love to swim when the time comes.
